Is there disabled access to the rum school?

Yes. The rum school is on the second floor, but we have disabled access and facilities throughout. We have a disability lift, disabled access throughout the school and a disabled toilet also.

All of the Rum Making Express and Rum Making Experience take place seated. The first half is in our school’s bar area, seated at tables and the second half involves going through into the labs for the distillation, which takes place on stools at raised benches.

We do have raised chairs if back support is needed, or the benches can be reached from a wheelchair, although some support will be provided for operating the stills, as these are further elevated above the work bench.

Please notify us via email of any requirements once you have booked, including when you are coming so that we can make sure everything is in place to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Here’s a link to a review posted by a wheelchair user that has visited the rum school.
